FAQ
1. Blank Prints, Skipping Labels, or Paper Feeding Issues
✅ Why is my Y813 printing blank labels, skipping labels, or feeding paper incorrectly?
Please check the following:
• Make sure you are using direct thermal labels.
• Load the labels with the printable label side facing up.
• Make sure the printer cover is completely closed.
• Adjust the label width guides so they fit the label properly.
To check whether the printer itself is working correctly, press and hold the Feed button for 3 seconds.
The printer will:
• Flash the blue light once • Beep once • Print a self-test page
If the self-test page prints correctly, the printer hardware is working normally. Please check your label file, print settings, app, or computer driver.
✅ Troubleshooting for skipped labels or incorrect paper feeding:
The printer may need to relearn the label size.
1. Load the labels correctly with the printable side facing up.
2. Adjust the label width guides.
3. Press and hold the Feed button for 6 seconds.
4. Release the button after the red light flashes twice and you hear 2 beeps.
This starts Paper Calibration / Label Learning.
If calibration was started accidentally, press and hold the Feed button for 9 seconds. The red light will flash three times, and the printer will beep 3 times to cancel calibration.
2. Wrong Label Size, Cropped Labels, or Incorrect Orientation
✅Why is my shipping label printing too small, too large, sideways, or only using part of the label?
The most common cause is that the shipping label was downloaded from the shipping platform in the wrong page size.
For the Y813, the standard shipping label size is: 4 × 6 inches / 100 × 150 mm
When creating or downloading your shipping label from Amazon, eBay, Etsy, Shopify, USPS, UPS, FedEx, or another shipping platform, please select: 4 × 6 in / Thermal Label
Do not select: • 8.5 × 11 in • Letter Size • A4 • Full-page shipping label
If you download an 8.5 × 11 in or A4 PDF, the actual shipping label may only occupy part of the page. Printing that file directly can cause the label to appear too small, off-center, cropped, or incorrectly positioned.
Whenever possible, return to the shipping website and re-export or download the label directly in 4 × 6 format instead of trying to resize an 8.5 × 11 file.
Before printing, also check:
• Paper size: 4 × 6 in / 100 × 150 mm • Print orientation • Print preview
• Scale / Fill settings • Auto Crop, if available
When printing from the Pixmate Printer app, preview the label before printing and confirm that the entire shipping label fills the 4 × 6 page correctly.
If the Y813 self-test page prints normally but your shipping label does not, the issue is usually related to the original shipping label file or print settings, rather than the printer itself.
3. Phone / Bluetooth Connection
✅ How do I connect the Y813 to an iPhone or Android phone?
The new Y813 connects to iOS and Android devices through Bluetooth using the Pixmate Printer app.
1. Download Pixmate Printer from the App Store or Google Play.
2. Turn on Bluetooth on your phone.
3. Turn on the Y813 printer.
4. Open the Pixmate Printer app.
5. Tap Add to search for nearby printers.
6. Select the detected Y813 printer.
7. Tap Connect.
8. Import your PDF or image.
9. Check the print preview and tap Print.
We recommend connecting the printer inside the Pixmate Printer app, rather than pairing and printing directly from the phone's Bluetooth settings.
✅ If the printer cannot be found:
• Make sure the printer is powered on.
• Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone.
• Move the phone closer to the printer.
• Confirm that you are searching from inside Pixmate Printer.
• Make sure the printer is not already connected to another phone.
• Restart the printer and your phone's Bluetooth, then try again.

2. Turn on the printer.
3. Add or select Y813 in your printer settings.
