FAQ
1. How Do I Set Up and Connect My C80 Printer?
For Phones and Tablets
1. Download the FlashToy app from the App Store or Google Play.
2. Press and hold the printer's power button for about 2–3 seconds to turn it on.
3. Turn on Bluetooth and allow Bluetooth permissions for the app.
4. Open FlashToy and connect to the C80 from inside the app.
Important: Do not connect the printer directly through your phone's Bluetooth settings, Wi-Fi settings, or AirPrint.
If you experience any issues using FlashToy, you can also download and use our alternative app, SharpFox.
For Computers
Please visit the C80 Driver Page and follow the instructions to download and install the correct driver for your operating system:
https://nulltonex.com/pages/c80-driver
Connect the C80 to your computer using the original USB cable. When the printer is connected properly via USB and ready to print, the indicator light should be solid green.
If the printer still does not work:
1. Restart both the computer and printer.
2. Reinstall the C80 driver.
3. Make sure the printer is powered on and the indicator light is not red.
4. Reconnect the USB cable and try again.
If the issue continues, please contact Customer Support and provide a screenshot of the error message or printer settings so we can assist you further.
2. What Should I Do If My C80 Won't Connect?
If you see “Printer Not Connected,” “Connection Failed,” or the printer cannot be found, try the following:
1. Make sure the printer is powered on and sufficiently charged.
2. Connect the printer inside the FlashToy app, not through your phone's Bluetooth settings.
3. If FlashToy cannot find or connect to the printer, try using the SharpFox app instead.
4. Disconnect the printer from any previously connected phone, tablet, or computer.
5. Restart both the printer and your device.
6. Make sure Bluetooth permissions are enabled for the app.
7. Keep the printer within approximately 10 meters / 33 feet of your device.
8. If the printer has been inactive for about 30 minutes, press the power button to wake it and reconnect.
Bluetooth Indicator
· Solid Blue: Bluetooth connected successfully.
· Flashing Blue: Bluetooth connection error. Restart the printer and app, then reconnect.
If the connection still fails, please contact Customer Support and provide a screenshot of the error message and your connection method.
3. How Do I Load Thermal Paper or Tattoo Transfer Paper Correctly?
The C80 is a thermal printer and does not require ink or toner.
For Regular Thermal Paper
Make sure you are using compatible thermal paper and that the printable side is facing the correct direction before closing the printer cover.
Regular inkjet or laser printer paper is not supported.
For Tattoo Transfer Paper
1. Remove the yellow backing paper.
2. Remove the removable white protective paper.
3. Insert the paper with the blue transfer paper facing up and the white tracing paper facing down.
4. Close the printer cover securely.
5. After printing, peel off the blue transfer paper and keep the white tracing paper with the transferred design.
If you only need to print regular documents, text, or labels, standard thermal paper is easier to use than multi-layer tattoo transfer paper.
4. Why Is My C80 Printing Blank, Faint, or Incorrectly?
If the printer feeds paper but the print is blank, too light, or unclear, check the following:
1. Make sure you are using compatible thermal paper or tattoo transfer paper.
2. Check that the printable side of the paper is facing the correct direction.
3. Make sure the paper is loaded properly and the printer cover is fully closed.
4. If the print is too light, increase the print depth/density in the app.
5. Make sure the printer has enough battery power.
If the paper keeps feeding, becomes jammed, or the print shows streaks or scratches, reload the paper and restart the printer.
If the issue continues, please contact Customer Support and provide a photo or short video showing the printing problem.
5. What Do the C80 Indicator Lights Mean?
· Solid Green: Ready to print.
· Solid Blue: Bluetooth connected successfully.
· Flashing Blue: Bluetooth connection error. Restart the printer and app, then reconnect.
· Solid Red: Charging / no paper / power status.
· Flashing Red: Low battery. Please charge the printer.
· Flashing Green + Red: Printer head overheated. Wait for it to cool before printing again.
If the printer stays red or won't turn on
1. Charge the printer with a 5V/2A power adapter.
2. Try another charging cable, USB port, or power source.
3. Restart the printer after charging.
4. Make sure paper is loaded correctly.
If the issue continues, contact Customer Support with your order number and a short photo or video.
